Chapter 19-Fans

  • Chapter 19 Fans

Posted on July 19, 2011 by SPetty

The two style fans most commonly found in kitchen exhaust systems are up blast ventilators and utility side blast ventilators. Both fans operate under the same principle which draws air into the center of a rotating squirrel cage wheel and discharges it out through the blades. The vast majority of these fans are belt driven. These fans have moving parts that are very susceptible to heat and vibration. To keep these two wear factors to a minimum proper cleaning and maintenance procedures must be adhered to.
